Welcome Keri Ford – Guest Blogger & New Release

Today I would like to welcome erotic romance author Keri Ford to the blog! She has a new release out called In the Hay, part of her Apple Trail series. But More on that later…lets get to the good stuff, Keri!

What Do You Want To Be When You Grow Up??

This is a question that haunts Nicolette from In The Hay. She’s always been a follower, you see. Her mother or father suggested dance or piano, she did it. Friends said, “let’s join the softball team!” …she did. Now she’s been in college a few years, changed her major several times and she’s realized it wasn’t so smart to always follow someone else’s desire. What if she picked wrong? Go back to more college? Start over again? Nicolette’s had about enough college and indecision.

Results and Catching Up…

Just wanted to poke my head in and say thank you to everyone who voted for me. Okay, so there weren’t many of you (heh) but I still appreciate those of you who did. I did not make it through to the next round, but that’s okay. I still plan on polishing that story up and querying with it soon. So, hopefully you will see it in an ebook store near you soon. :)

Beyond that, there isn’t much to say. I am busily writing as always and dealing with life in general. I hope you all are doing good. *Waves*

Voting Starts Today! I Need You!

Hey everyone! The Passionate Reads First Annual Pitch Contest is open for voting! The first chapter of The Market: Love Revealed is posted so go take a read and please vote for it.

Next Up, Round 2!

I made it through Round 1 of the Passionate Reads First Annual Pitch Contest! Woo hoo! Come on, do the happy dance with me! *happy dance* See my name? Right there! I knew 2011 was going to be a good year, and this is a great way to start it out. So, if you voted for me, thank you even though that isn’t how I got through. Saturday the first chapters will be posted and available for voting…so keep an eye out and give it a read. I’ll post when the voting goes live.

I Need Your Votes!

A quick request for you to hop over to the Passionate Reads Pitch Contest and read my pitch for The Market: Love Revealed. If you like it, think maybe you’d be interested in reading it please vote for it. LOL! Thanks for your support. :D

Passionate Reads Pitch Contest!

I am really excited about the pitch contest being run over at Passionate Reads. There are three rounds, two of which include some level of reader voting. Grace Bradley of Ellora’s Cave is judging the contest and will select the winner of the big prize, which is a three chapter critique of your MS by her.  She lays out how each round will work here.

There is still time to enter if you are interested, the contest is open until midnight January 7th (CST).  Of course I have entered one of my novellas, so if you aren’t entering your own please stop by and give my blurb for The Market a read and if you get the chance maybe vote for it once voting starts. I will post an entry here with links and what not when the time comes. Until then, have fun perusing all the entries!

Excerpt Monday – The Market Part Deux

Excerpt Monday Logo

Once a month, a bunch of authors get together and post excerpts from published books, contracted work or works in progress, and link to each other. You don’t have to be published to participate just an writer with an excerpt you’d like to share. For more info on how to participate, head over to the Excerpt Monday site! or click on the banner above.

A little about the excerpt I am posting. This is a new novella I’ve been working on, the 2nd in a series. It still needs to be polished and edited. The hero is a textile importer and the heroine is one of the girls from The Market, a Victorian brothel in London. This is where they first meet. He has no idea who she is.

Feel free to comment or critique, I am always open to dialogue about my writing.
