How long have you been writing?
Writing? Forever. I first thought seriously about it in 8th grade (I won’t tell you how long ago that was). In terms of writing and seriously submitting, about a year and a half.
What genres do you write besides erotic romance?
I mostly write erotic romance at this point, but occasionally write sweet romance (under a different name). I’ve been toying with a few ideas for mysteries and YA books.
What inspired your main characters?
I don’t know if anything in particular inspired these characters. I really was inspired by the look and feel of Estes Park, Colorado, when I was there over the summer and wanted to put that into the book. The character for it just sort of came to me.
Do you write to music? If so what was the sound track to Public Display of Affection?
Sometimes, but not for this particular book. Strangely, I think I wrote most of it while watching NCIS reruns.
Where do you write?
Mostly on my laptop from my couch while wearing PJs. Half the time my cat is sitting on top of my arms while I struggle to see around her.
What is the most you have written in one day?
I got up to 10K one day, but only because I had to in order to make a deadline.
What are you currently reading?
I just finished the Hunger Games trilogy and haven’t picked up something else yet. I really loved those stories and am looking forward to seeing how they manage the movies.
What is your best guilty pleasure? (By best I mean worst.)
I love baking. I make cookies when I get stressed and then make all my friends eat them.
What book do you wish you’d written?
Tough one. I would love to have written The Giver. It is an incredible book that has stood the test of time.
You have to jump out of a plane w/ a holey parachute or edit your 100K MS by hand, what. do. you. do?
I’m scared to death of heights and falling so I’ll go with edit by hand. Now give me the red pen and I’ll get started.
Coffee/Tea? Coffee. Lots of it.
Cake/Cookies? Cookies. Chocolate please.
Coke/Pepsi? Coke, with rum.
Heels/Flats? To look pretty, heels. To actually walk, flats.
BDB/The Order? I have no idea what either of those are, so neither.
Cats/Dogs? Dogs (yes, I know I have a cat)
Fly/Drive? How far is it? 10 hour drive or less, drive. Otherwise, fly.
